Cruise day!

Mid 70’s sunny

We had a LYFT ride scheduled at 6:30am. Lisa walked with us to the spot we were to be picked up and said our goodbyes when our ride arrived. Hard to say goodbye.

The ride to the airport was about 25 minutes. Our driver was great and we really liked using LYFT for its convenience and punctuality. Everything from the LYFT ride to the United flight to LA to our Princess Shuttle ride to the cruise port went on without a glitch.

We boarded the Coral Princess about 11:15 and we were able to enter our cabin right away. The luggage did arrive a bit later but it was nice to drop off our carry-ons. We spent most of the afternoon acclimating ourselves to the layout of the ship. Stopped for a quick ice cream and then went back to our cabin for our muster drill (emergency) at 3:15. At 4:00 we went toward the bow on deck 15 and enjoyed our sail away out of LA. It’s always enjoyable and we did talk to a few other passengers who have many more sea days than us and had many great tips on other voyages they have taken. We spoke with Margie and Tim, both late 70’s, and saw them very often on the cruise. We went to dinner at 5:00 and Ann enjoyed a wonderful dinner of sea bass and I prime rib. We spoke to the guest next to us for a bit went to a brief show at 7:30, did a musical bingo, then crashed at 9:30.
