snow was very unexpected

the whitewashed half house .....

..... half cave homes were unusual in Guadix

following the Sierra Nevadas was fun

Cartagena had some strange craft in its harbour

"where is it ?, it was there earlier

anytime is good for a swing, even in Cartagena

We passed through Granada on the way to Almeria on the coast before heading north to Cartagena our next stopover.

It was not one of our best moves as the landscape was again very hard and uninteresting.

Cartagena was a nice town with a great harbour area with many fascinating boats in dock. A cruise liner was berthed so the place was bombarded with tourists some of which we met.

The place had an interesting mix of narrow old lanes and wide pedestrian streets with many tourist traps operating at full steam. Somehow we got sucked in for a 'genuine' bargain.
