A New Chapter...for awhile travel blog

A chandelier in the main dining room

The wine rack is pretty big

A very good lobster dish, prepared tableside in the Murano restaurant...I plan...

Sunday was our day to start our 12 night journey on the beautiful Celebrity Eclipse.

Following cab ride #88 we were all checked in and onboard just after 11am and starting to learn our way around the ship while waiting for our cabins to be ready. We had lunch in the dining room and by about 2pm were settling in to our balcony cabin on Deck #10, starboard side, which for you non-nautical types, is the right side of the ship.

The women folk went to the Murano dining room to book 5 nights of specialty dining reservations for the cruise – and since the specialty restaurants onboard were much better than the regular dining room it was money well-spent. We set sail at 5:00 and had dinner reservations in Murano at 6:30 so after some showers and primping we were headed to Deck 5 to put the feedbag on...the first night of many.

I won’t get into detail on all of our meals on board – other than in the dining room they were good, in the specialty dining rooms they were even better – but there were 2 nights that stood out and I’ll get to them on the specific days...relax.
