Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Marilyn & I had finished our coffee and a few chores, showered, and dressed for a day with family. As I mentioned in a previous blog my Uncle Bill is 95 years old, a member of the “Greatest Generation,” being held by the Germans as a POW during WWII, the recent loss of his wife, my aunt Betty, and cancer. My Uncle Bill is a Hero in my eyes.

My cousin Jana and her husband Kraig take very good care of Jana’s Dad and made us welcome in their beautiful home. Jana prepared a great lunch with some of her Mom’s best recipes. We enjoyed every minute of our time with family today.

We hated to say Goodbye knowing that it will be some time before we will return. We all had tears as we shared goodbye hugs with Uncle Bill. The drive back to Hannibal took nearly three hours and then we made a stop to pick up groceries. Now my task is to post this journal entry. It was a fine day and we are assured that Life is Good!
