Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

The last of the school groups from Troy came through the cave today. This school has been one of the finest and most enjoyable of multiple groups to guide in the time I have been doing this. Today the students were good kids but very excited to be on a trip away from school for the day.

I drove back to the RV after the tour and shared lunch with my lovely bride. Our daughter called to let us know that she and the grandkids were coming in to see us after school today. As is usual we knew the kids would be hungry when they arrived so I took off, headed to the store to pick up some special food items to spoil the grandkids a bit. Let’s see, ice cream, orange and root beer soda to make ice cream floats, cookies (several types) along with milk and bread completed my shopping list.

Jennifer and the grandkids were waiting by the time I arrived back at the RV and it wasn’t long before everyone had ice cream floats and cookies as we sat outdoors on the patio visiting.

The mosquitoes have been terrible and this evening was no exception so I had to spray a yard fogger. Of course I waited until the food had been consumed and it was too late to prevent multiple bites by then.

Oh well, we have lots of good stuff to stop the itch. Life is Good!
