Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Another cool night called for blankets and the fireplace took the chill off while we were sharing our morning coffee. The overcast sky kept the sun away so it remained cool until later in the morning when the sun appeared and warmed things nicely.

I was scheduled to lead a tour of Mark Twain Cave at 10:30 but the school busses didn’t arrive until that time and two groups of 30 people went into the cave ahead of my group. It was 11:00 by the time my tour began but I didn’t mind because they were a great group and we all enjoyed the tour.

I hurried home after the tour and was greeted by the wonderful aroma of ham & beans cooking on the stove. Marilyn baked cornbread to serve with the ham & beans and we ate more than we should. At least I did. LOL

Marilyn had added lots of onion as well as Rotel tomatoes to the soup and it was delicious to say the least. We even saved some leftovers for dinner. Yummy!

We relaxed and watched some TV and read our books in the afternoon. Tonight we will watch the opening episode of DWTS. At least Marilyn will watch that show. I will have one eye on the St Louis vs Milwaukee baseball game. Life is Good!
