The temperature dropped like a rock and it was barely over the 50 degree mark this morning. After coffee we grabbed sweatshirts and jackets before heading out the door to attend the football game. It was a good game but Colby’s team suffered their first defeat since he has been playing for Hannibal. Final score Winfield 28-Hannibal 13.
Marilyn & I had some shopping to do but we had left the list behind so we decided to simply “wing it”. We checked the list when we arrived at home and we pleased that we had managed to bring home everything on the list. Of course we also brought home numerous items which were not on the list.
As soon as I grabbed a bite to eat, I left again hoping to finally get a much needed haircut. Once again, I was turned away because they were closed. I had just missed out and now must wait until Tuesday after I finish leading my tour. I may have to purchase a dog license by that time. LOL
Another sad event grabbed our attention today as we learned that one of the founders of the company I flew for, passed away yesterday. He was mentioned in my book when I related how he had proposed to his current wife while we flew down the Grand Canyon. Albert and his entire family were wonderful people and he will be missed by all who knew him. God Speed dear friend.
Now we are settled down for the evening and rest assured that Life is Good!
