A Travel Day:
Woke to a quiet morning, we packed up and were on the road by 7:30 am. Our route today would take us south on US189 to Provo and then south on I-15 to Jct. of Hwy 20. Then up over the mountains to Jct. of Hwy 89 south to Panguitch.
The road conditions today were very good. The traffic was heavy in the vicinity of Provo but no real issues.
We stopped to rest the horses twice, still we very good time and we arrived in Panguitch by 12:30 pm.
We covered a distance of 235 miles, one of our longer trips recently.
The scenery for the entire trip was very nice. Nancy posted several pics on fb while I just enjoyed the drive.
The scenery on Hwy 20 was especially nice.
The KOA campground is quite basic, no frills. The hook-ups work fine and the restrooms are immuculate.
We met some nice neighbors from NYS. We enjoyed several hours of pleasant conversation before we called it a night.
Being a holiday weekend the campground owner said that it would be a full.
I have a few things on the ole bucket list but otherwise looking forward to a relaxing four night stay.
