Managed to get to breakfast a bit earlier, and it was a lot quieter than the previous morning. It did help that we were more familiar with the layout and knew what we were doing.
Came back to our room for a while before heading out. Another nice day and plenty of blue sky, but the breeze had freshened and it was much cooler. The day soon warmed up though when the breeze dropped.
Finished our walk through the Bryggen wharf area and visited the Bryggens Museum and the Rosenkrantz Tower. A nice little cafe at the museum was a good spot for lunch.
The Tower is undergoing renovations, but we could still visit there, and climb up and down many spiral stairs. Not built for tall people, and luckily Don only bumped his head once!
Continued our walk further down the wharf area to the cruise ship terminal, where three cruise ships have been berthed for a few days.
Made our way slowly back to our room by mid afternoon, put the feet up for a while before heading out for an early dinner of fish and chips at the fish markets. We had checked it all out yesterday and decided where to go, so had booked a table and enjoyed sitting and watching the passing tourists.
Back to the hotel by 7pm for our tour meeting ready for tomorrow.
Our guide is Inger, who has been doing these tours for six years and is very experienced. She has already changed a few things around as we only have nine (including Inger) on the tour in a 20 seat bus, so we won't be cramped at all. Apparently we don't "officially" qualify as a tourist group! Don is the only male!! We have one lady from England, and five Americans. All are very friendly, so it should be a good mix for travelling.
Have sorted our bags for tomorrow. Only need a back pack for tomorrow night as the hotel in Norheimsund does not have a lift and they cannot guarantee we will not be on the third floor! Sometimes the staff will help with bags, and sometimes not, so best to be prepared.
All ready for the next escapade!!
