Siena

Arrived in Siena on the 22nd by bus as there was a train strike in Firenze.. but at least we made it without any hassles !! Siena is incredibly beautiful, we are really enjoying being here, the tight streets and walls that enclose the main area of Siena are filled with history and bustling with atmosphere, every corner you turn has s historic church Duomo or fountain, the piazza del campo is really large and very impressive it would have been amazing to be here for the horse race!! then you walk to the top on the hill on the slight outskirts and the views of the Tuscan hills and villas are just breathtaking.. our little villa is quaint but I’m not going to say terribly comfortable.. more mudundie pillows Samiko!! We had our own terrace and it was stunning and truly Tuscan.. for five days I’ve eaten croissants and Nutella for breakfast!! Omg so not like me.. but I’m embracing it .. hahaha. We’ve really just relaxed here I have to say, no day trips out just walking around to every amazing sight and enjoying the food, wine and shopping aahhhhh. The train station is around a half an hours walk so not as easy to access in the really hot weather..All the streets are large inclines or lots of steps.. great for the muscles!! Haven’t bought a lot here as it’s pretty expensive and directed at the tourist market.. oh Geoff just reminded me that he bought two tops .... Go Geoff xx Heading to Roma today
