It was our turn to drive today, and more convenient for John and Sue since it was on the way. They kindly picked up breakfast sandwiches for us to enjoy before we left. We drove up Togwatee Pass today. Our goal was to have lunch in Dubois, where John assured us we could get the best pie in the country. Along the way we passed Brooks lake, a small lake tucked away in the high country. Next was Wind River Lake and campground, where we took a short hike to see the falls. It was lovely, a beautiful place to camp. In Dubois, we went to the Cowboy Café, where they had quite a selection of pies. Sue and I split a salad for lunch then split a piece of kahlua chocolate pecan pie. Delicious! Then we all got a piece of pie to go!
Back home, we had beans and grilled hot dogs for dinner. I planned to do hamburgers also, but we all agreed that we were still stuffed form lunch. Then we finished that extra piece of pie for dessert.
