Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

We shared our coffee time outdoors this morning with friends, Eddie & Jan. The coffee was long gone by the time our little band broke up to get busy with chores. Marilyn & I are getting ready for the visit by our daughter and grandchildren. They will be arriving tomorrow and we had a lot of work to do.

Marilyn completed five loads of laundry and fixed food while I cleaned things around the RV, paid our site rent and electric bill, and then used the computer to complete the waivers needed for the whitewater rafting trip. I then obtained tickets for the Cave of the Winds and finally took a shower and put on some clean casual clothing.

Marilyn & I thought often of our friends who have been on the road for two days and were happy to hear from them that they had arrived home. We also have friends Denny & Jackie on our minds and humbly ask for prayers for them as they begin travel toward their home tomorrow.

Marilyn & I sat outdoors with a cold drink and welcomed Eddie & Jan who walked over from next door to join us. Then Bob and Terryn joined us as we all enjoyed the wonderful 80 degree weather. We noticed dark clouds gathering over the mountain as the sound of thunder grabbed our attention. We held off as long as we dared and then wasted no time in seeking the shelter of our RVs as the rain began to fall in earnest.

If I don't get a blog posted over the next few days it will be bacause we are busy enjoying the family time. I promise to try but it is possible that we will be really busy having fun with daughter and grandkids.
