|Today we had breakfast at a small cafe (it was so good..) then it was off to complete the second part of the hop on - hop off bus tour, today we saw the Gothic Quarter, the other side of the port and beaches, (at the port we saws a very large yacht with its own helicopter), the new part of Barcelona, La Sagrada Familiar, boy has that changed from when I was here 12 years ago. We are going to go on a guided tour of the Familiar on Thursday. Following this, the tour continued up to Parc Guell, where we got off for a closer look at the Park that Antoni Gaudi designed, Well the hill went on forever and we got to the top and at the back end of the park, just walking through quickly we wanted to go to the museum part of the park but it was booked out for the day - so we will return on Friday, for a better look, but based on what we saw today - it was amazing.
We got back on the bus and finished the tour.
At starting point of the bus tours there are a lot of hawkers who have everything laid out on bed sheets and at the first sight of LA Guardia (police) they pick up the sheets and bolt, they also have lookouts for the police. They sell all sorts of knockoffs like Gucci and Michael Kors handbags, we then had some delicious gelato and found another little sidewalk cafe for some cheeses and meat - absolutely delicious and some wine. Then back to home!!
Tonight we are going to a Flamenco show and dinner!
The dinner and show was fantastic, would recommend for anyone to go to Tablao Cordobes, we enjoyed Sangria followed by wine and beer with dinner (Tapas) which had a large variety of foods we could sample followed by dessert, after finishing dinner we went into the show and were served Spain's version of Champagne. We were lucky enough to get front row seats to watch the performance. After the show we made our way back to the accommodation for a good nights sleep as we are off to Montserrat in the morning!
