Setup in Cedar Creek RV Park

Heading south on US 550 in Montrose

Setup in Centennial RV Park

Lenticular cloud formation

Days 10 - 19—Tuesday through Thursday June 5 – 14, 2018

We stayed at Cedar Creek RV Park four days, then moved to Centennial RV Park 10 miles south of Montrose on US 550. We moved because a homeowner near the park was burning trash each morning that produced smelly smoke that blew toward us.

We were pleased with Centennial: we had a much better view of the mountains.

While in Montrose we took two side trips that will be reported in separate journal entries: Black Canyon National Park (June 6) and Silverton (June 11)--we'll use two entries for this trip: The Million Dollar Highway and The Towns (Ouray and Silverton).

Thursday June 14th Maryann received an e-mail from Brian’s sister Dorsey telling us that Brian’s brother Dean and his wife Annette (full time RVers) were spending the summer at River Bend RV Park in Montrose (about 8 miles from Centennial).

So we got in our truck, drove to River Bend and had a nice visit.

Friday June 15th we move to Rangely, Colorado where Maryann has a recording session appointment at the Tank on Monday morning at 9 am.
