Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Today we were both busy as we continue to prepare for the journey to Colorado for the summer. There is always a certain amount of work involved with travel in an RV. After sitting in one place for weeks at a time outdoor furniture needs to be stored for travel, lubrication of jacks and leveling devices is recommended, as is insuring that the tires and air ride systems be properly inflated.

I stored the folding tables in the basement storage area along with the lounge chairs and other items to be used outdoors while we are camped in Colorado. Marilyn worked inside cleaning and preparing items for the trip. Mainly due to our shorter than usual time here in Hannibal, it was easier this time to have things ready to go. Even vehicle maintenance has been done, with new tires put on the truck and the car.

We haven’t spent as much time with family as we normally would have but will stay here a bit longer in the fall before moving south toward our winter home in the Rio Grande Valley.

This evening we visited with our friends John & Julie and then we all went out for dinner together at a place where the hamburgers are great. It is called “Hats” and is in Palmyra.

We were home a few minutes after 8:00 and now look forward to some TV and a good night of sleep. Life is Good!
