Marilyn & I are back at the Mark Twain Cave Campground where we looked forward to enjoying the wi-fi. However the campground is packed with campers for the Memorial Day weekend and the wi-fi signal is off and on and unreliable. I’m sure it will be fine on Monday when many of the weekend campers will head home.
Yesterday we took Colby to Paris, Missouri where his team was playing their first game of the season. They lost to a good team by a score of 6 to 5. Colby went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a Run scored. He also pitched two scoreless innings striking out four and throwing out another batter who hit a ball right back to him. We are proud of him for sure.
It was after midnight before Marilyn & I managed to climb into bed. We thought that we might sleep until 8:00 at least but were up by a few minutes after 6:00. It was nice to share our coffee together and then we made a “grocery run” and managed to spend well over $150. We were out of nearly everything.
After putting groceries away I grilled some boneless pork loin while Marilyn fixed her delicious baked beans. We are both worn out so after lunch we settled in for a very quiet afternoon. It’s 94 degrees outdoors so the A/C indoors feels comfortable. Life is Good!
