Capper Nomads Europe Adventure Part 2 travel blog

We left Immenstadt and headed west to Lindau on Lake Constance (Bodensee). We didn’t rush as we knew the reception at our next campground was closed between 12noon and 2pm. The journey went well except a little nervous moment when we turned onto the road to the campground and saw a bridge fortunately it was 4m high.

We arrived at the campground at about 2.30pm. It was a bit of a scrum as there were units queuing everywhere!(All due to the reception being closed for two hours!). Eventually we made our way to our appointed pitch. On inspecting it we realised there was no way we could fit on the pitch. Leaving the motorhome parked on the road we walked back to the office. Having queued once again the site manager showed us another pitch in another part of the campground which was easily big enough with plenty of swing room. Why hadn’t we been allocated this site in the first place or one nearby as there was at least four we could get on easily!

We returned to the motorhome and Tony did a valiant job in driving the motorhome through the site which had some rather tight corners to our new pitch. It will be interesting leaving the site!

We quickly set up and relaxed for the rest of the day.
