Set off to Cheney, close to Spokane Washington. We took the long way around to Spokane so we could drive through Bridgeport Washington. Mels family lived here for 7 years. His father did many things to include Assistant Pastor, real estate agent, sold insurance and founded the Bridgeport Rifle and Pistol Club.

Mel has many fond memories of his adventures growing up here while they were building the Chief Joseph Dam on the Columbia River.

The town used to be lined with many Cotton Wood Trees, that have since been partially cut down and the stumps have many carvings to tell the story of the town. I have included these pictures.
