DAVE & REBECCA'S BIG ADVENTURE travel blog

Our current map of our trip with this new coach.

Now we added North Carolina to it, though we traveled through SC...

Rebecca got busy making and selling Twirlies

And Dave got busy making his Lariat Rope Bowls

Some Lariats warming in the sun.

A new thing for Dave, is headlight restoration, a skill he learned...

And so Dave stayed busy doing some headlights

The whole process takes about an hour

While we were camping here, we thought maybe our craft inventories were down too much if we had a craft show in the park anytime soon. Sure enough one weekend, the activities director decided to hold a craft sale on Saturday. We were one of two couples that had anything to show. We did alright. Dave can only make Lariat Rope Bowls outside when the weather is fairly warm. Rebecca joined him while she made twirlie after twirlie for people who came by and purchased them.

Last May, while in Reno, our youngest son, Paul, showed his dad how to restore auto headlights. Having showed Dave the tools needed and how it is done, Dave thought it would be a neat thing to offer RV’ers. This stop is the first time he put his sign out. The last few days we were in the park, Dave got 5 headlight requests. See the pictures of some of his work, before and after, for 3 of the jobs he did. Newly restored headlights sure make a car standout and look nice, also safer at night for driving...

Note: our longtime readers remember that our travel map is updated with the states that we have actually stayed overnight for two nights or more. You’ll see a picture of us updating our map with North Carolina, but the South Carolina is left blank. We drove from Auburn, GA right through western South Carolina without even stoping. So to put South Carolina on there we’ll have to come back and stay a couple nights. Remember Fulltime RV’ing is all about the “Journey” not the map!
