We packed up and left at 7:40, and the rain began while we were sitting in McD’s down the road about 20 miles. It rained on and off most of the way, then quit 30 miles before Junction. Our truck GPS had a fit trying to get us to go through San Antonio, but we persevered and took state highways around the city, through Kerrville, and arrived here in Junction around 2. After a bite of lunch, we explored Schreiner Park, right down on the Llano River, and found some very interesting birds, including an Egyptian Goose! We shopped at the little Lowes Grocery store, finding folks very friendly. Once home, we walked the park and sat down by the river, finding the other new birds – what a special place.

Dinner was at Lum’s BBQ – I had a brisket sandwich and John enjoyed brisket, sausage and sides – it was outstanding!! We are relaxing for the evening.
