The Duomo in Milan.

The Duomo

The top of the Duomo.

It was spectacular up on top.

We spent about 30 minutes up here..

Inside the Duomo.

The inside of the cathedral was magnificent as well.

Post Duomo lunch. Touring requires proper sustenance,

Inside the Sforza Castle.

From the museum inside the Castle.

Inside Leslie's apartment.

Yes that is a rainbow!

The cafe associated with our hotel gives us a free breakfast. Whoa. Huge, delicious fruit cup, tasty croissant, oh, cereal with different tasting milk that was so good, yogurt, biscotti with butter and jam and of course coffee. It was amazing. We took the metro to the Duomo cathedral. The outside itself was so incredible and beyond words. We stood for over an hour in a "skip the line" line which wasn't too bad except for the very large school group that swooped in to the front of the line. Anyway it was totally worth the wait to get up to the roof and then into the cathedral. So much detailed craftsmanship and plain gorgeous. I'll let the pictures speak to that. Afterward we had lunch in an outside cafe and then onto the Sforza castle and museum. Bob enjoyed the ancient weapons and guns, never my thing, but I loved the old wood furniture and paintings. I've probably seen enough depictions of the crucifixion and Virgin Mary for awhile. We met Leslie for a nice walk through Milan to a place for dinner, Dry Milano, and a yummy gin drink with a whipped egg white topping. Don't knock it till you've tried it! The best part of course is spending time with my girl!
