Seals sunning themselves

Jan 15

It's warmer today, but the pools are still cold. As we got closer to Cabo San Lucas, we saw lots of humpback whales alongside of our ship. We were late arriving in Cabo which is the Marlin capital of the world, so they rescheduled the excursions for us. We took a tender into the port. The Cortez Sea was quite calm today, making for a nice ride in the tender. We enjoyed the Lands End Boat Tour aboard a Catamaran. The guide pointed out the different rock formations. We saw numerous seals sunning themselves on a huge rock. They quickly scattered into the sea when a paddle boarder got too close. We went by the famous Cabo Arch (El Arco) on the Cortez Sea side and then around it into the Pacific Ocean, which was fairly calm today. Out tour went by Lover's Beach (Playa del Amor) on the Cortez sea side and Divorce Beach on the ocean side. There were lots of local glass bottom boats tiurin the area too. Lots of seals were swimming near our boat, and many of them jumped on the backs of fishing boats. Apparently they can tell the difference. After the tour, we looked through the shops. There is a beach right nearby as well, for those who don't want a shore excursion. The rest of the afternoon was relaxing by the pool, napping, and reading. We went to the comedy show after dinner. It was pretty good.
