We embarked on the Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas, a fairly large but not behemoth, ship that carries 2,501 passengers. By far, this is the largest cruise ship on which I have sailed, and I don't think I would care to be aboard anything larger. I'm not sure what size ships Sandy has sailed upon in the past. All in all, the ship was nice. Our cabin was standard in size with two windows. The main dining room was two floors, nicely appointed, and the food was uniformly good. The serving staff were excellent.
We met Sandy's brother, Tony, and his long time significant other, Marsha, on the cruise. They are two nice people, and we enjoyed their company.
First stop of the cruise was Grand Cayman. More on that in the next entry.
