We are finally on the road again. We left Reno this morning around 10:00 A.M. We drove about 245 miles through the desert. We had planned to stop in Hawthorne for a day on the way, we found out they were getting three inches of snow so we decided to move on.
We loved seeing all the tiny desert towns on the way. The mountains were beautiful, most were covered with snow. We enjoyed seeing Walker Lake again, it was outstanding with all the surrounding snow-capped mountains. We passed a lot of signs along the way with lots of warning about everything from burros, horses, mountain goats, rock falls to free range bulls, even tractors on the roads. It was a cool drive and we enjoyed the trip very much.
We are all set up to rest for a couple of days in Tonopah at the same campground we parked in last year. It is a nice pull through with full hookups and the Wi-Fi is okay, not great for loading pictures, I will be adding more later when the Wi-Fi is better. Check back later for more from Tonopah.
