Marilyn & I had finished our coffee when John came by to pick me up. John and I had a project scheduled for the day which was to re-string several of the day/night shades from his motorhome.
We drove to “Home Depot” to purchase some string and then went to Hobby Lobby in search of an upholstery needle. When we returned to the RV we set up the large table and started to work. We ran into a few minor problems but nothing major as I showed John how to do the job.
We did the smaller of the two shades first and then tackled the large shade. It was 1:00 PM by the time we finished the job completely and John took the shades home. By the time Marilyn & I drove down the street to pick up our friends, John had already installed one of the repaired shades and informed me that it worked just fine.
We drove over to “Ranch House Burgers” for a late lunch, and then returned to the RV to relax. Marilyn took a walk with me as I had not walked earlier in the day, and I managed to walk ½ mile for the 15th day in a row. My energy level and leg strength is slowly returning and I’m sure I’ll be able to lead tours of the caves after we return to Hannibal in late April.
Jim sent a text message to ask if I wanted to join him for the Men’s Breakfast at Diaz Diner and I agreed. Life is Good!
