February 7, 2018 – Corpus Christi, Texas
The wind came up as promised about 6 this morning and has blown hard all day. The temperature was warmer this morning at 6 than it was all the rest of the day. It went from 60 down to into the high 40s and with the wind chill, it felt like it was in the 30s. It finally started raining around 2, but it was misty all day long. It was just a mean, nasty day so it was a perfect day to go to a museum.
Ken, Betty and I went to Corpus today to the Texas State Aquarium. It is a nice aquarium. They had a good variety of fish, but it was a surprise to find as many birds as they had. They had parrots, flamingos, scarlet ibis, finches and parakeets among others. They had a pool where you could touch a manta ray.
We had lunch at the T&C Café before going to the camera store. Ken had been admiring my new camera, and he succumbed to buying a new one for himself. We stopped at Sprouts to get a couple of things and then headed for home. We stopped at a seafood store on the way home so Ken and Betty could see about getting shrimp to take home with them.
It was getting foggy as we got back. So, I came inside and holed up for the rest of the evening.
