Flynn's East bound and Down Xmas 2017 travel blog

Headed east under overcast days towards Colac where we turned off to the Red Rock Lookout overlooking the extinct volcano craters and the lakes that formed from them. In the heart of dairy country and dry rock walls everywhere. Headed north to Cressy before heading west again through Mortlake where we pulled up for a break. Met the couple again in the motorhome at the bakery. Then travelled with a headwind down to Warrnambool where we were expecting tourists but were pleasantly surprised - quiet actually. Plenty of parking at Flagstaff Hill maritime village which is where part of Oddball movie was filmed. Spent a couple of hours here having lunch before we headed out to the breakwater where Middle Island (scene of Oddball move was also) to go on a tour to visit the Maremma dogs that saved the penguins from the foxes. Very interesting talk by volunteers before heading north through dairy and sheep country to Hamilton where we arrived late in the afternoon.
