Pulling the Carriage 2007 travel blog

This is the first night in our trailer since early June. We left home yesterday and took our usual route through Buffalo to Erie, and then south to Grove City, Pennsylvania. We spent our first night in the dog friendly Candlewood Suites hotel. It has been a rough last couple of weeks for me. I started out with a cold, added a nasty flu bug, and now after a sore throat bout, have laryngitis and the cold that started the whole thing.

Today we continued south through the Virginias, North Carolina, and then into South Carolina.I am writing this in the middle of the night, so I am obviously not sleeping well. It was 70 degrees F when we set up camp. After walking to the nearby Publix, we got the necessary food supplies to keep us going until we reach our destination TGO at Titusville, Florida.

My cough is keeping me up at night. I need some beautiful Florida Sunshine and heat to beat this cold. Hopefully tomorrow we finish our trip south to our winter haven.

We were unable to finish harvest before Christmas, so I might have to take a flight home in the new year to finish up, depending how my brothers proceed with combining.

Hopefully I will be feeling better by my next post.
