We have travelled extensively in the United States, having been to all the states a couple of times and many states numerous times. Our journeys outside of the US have been limited in comparison. We have now expanded our itinerary. We will be spending a week in Playa del Carmen, Mexico - between Cancun and Cozumel. We is Sandi's sister Barb, her husband Jim, Sandi's brother Terry, his friend Cindy and, of course, Jim and Sandi. The resort, arranged by Terry, is absolutely stunning, although we were all seeing it through bleary eyes. We all got up incredibly early this morning for our flights. Terry and Cindy came from Las Vegas, Nevada. Barb and Jim, from Newport, RI, boarded their plane in Boston. We caught our plane in Omaha, Nebraska. All flights were relatively uneventful but the airport in Cancun was BUSY! The length of the line to get through Immigration was appalling, the line for Passport Check not quite so bad. We then had a 45 minute ride to get to our resort, Occidental's Xcaret Resort. Since most of the day was already gone, we have had little opportunity to explore much of the resort yet (it is huge) but look forward to doing so tomorrow.
