The Ross convict Bridge

Close up of the Bridge

Today was our last day with David and Ann. Tomorrow we go to Devonport and David and Ann go south, they are not sure where yet. They have to fill in time until Jeff Ros and girls come on the 4th December, David and Jeff start the 6 day walk from Cradle Mt on the 6th. They all come back to the mainland on the 21st December.

The official results for the card games are as follows. David won with 13wins, Noel had 12 wins Dawn had 6 wins and Ann had 5 wins. If you are wondering why the girls are so far behind take into account regular comments between Noel and David such as - “ look at this hand “ , or David tapping on the table, then when Noel put out a card said “ can’t you count “. I think you get the idea, until the girls brought about a seating change. Given a bit more time I am sure us girls would have won.

Today Noel and I walked to an old cemetery, then to the Female Factory, a convict women’s prison. Many sad stories. Then a walk through the few shops in Ross. Ann had a spring clean, and David checked his pack ready for his walk.

The convict Bridge is at the bottom of the Caravan Park, a very pretty area.
