Tamar River meets Bass Strait

Original four homes for pilots, these are now the museum

View of “ used to be a Jetty “ at the end...

Today we all drove to George Town. David and Ann did a 17km walk, from George Town to the Pilot Station. Good to see them back to their normal energetic selves.

Noel and I walked through town, not much to look at in the shops. Then seen more tree carvings, this time with a maritime theme. Then to the Low Head Pilot station, we went through the museum. It is still a working Pilot Station as there is a reef at the mouth of the Tamar River, so any ships coming in need a Pilot.

Then out to the Low Head Lighthouse, the scenery is beautiful, looking out over the Tamar River, and out over Bass Strait.

Love Dawn
