One of the best things about being retired is the fact that you don’t have to do things if you don’t feel like it. For example, my back has been hurting since the second day of our trip from Hannibal to the Rio Grande Valley and today, when I climbed out of bed, it was quite bad making it difficult to stand erect or to walk.
My friend Bob walked over to help me do the simple job of dumping the holding tanks, taking a few minutes off from his job working in Guest Services. Thank you my friend.
I spent the day in my recliner with a heating pad on my back, never even getting out of my pajamas all day.
Now, when you write a daily blog it is nice to have something interesting to write about but when you do nothing all day, you are writing with a severe handicap.
I hope to be much better tomorrow and we have plans for Saturday, Monday and for Tuesday. However, for today, I’ll simply spend some time remembering my brother Bill, who would have celebrated his 76th birthday yesterday. He was sure a great guy, my best friend all of his life, and I miss him.
I can hardly wait to see what tomorrow brings because Life is Good!
