While waiting for Penguins, God provided a beautiful sunset

Sunday we had a quiet day, no Church here. Went for short walks and enjoyed sitting in the sun.

Today we moved on to Bicheno, only about 60km.

The Caravan Park we are in is on the side of a hill, have lovely views to the ocean.

This evening we went down to the rocks on the beach, to see the Penguins come in from the ocean. They are the Fairy Penguins, tiny and so cute. We were told to be there 8pm, so got there about 7.30pm. Wandering around the rocks until it got quite dark. Watched a lovely sunset while waiting. Then 8.45pm a group of about 20 Fairy Penguins came rushing up the rocks, then 10mins later another group came up. It was beautiful to see these little penguins in the wild just as they live each day. We were not allowed to use cameras, and to have a little light to get back over the rocks, we covered our torches with red cellphane paper. Bright lights confuse them and they may not find their nests.
