Pauline Peregrinates the Pyrenees travel blog

David untangles his pesky pannier strap. For the LAST time hopefully!

Ours are not the only bikes on the Avignon/Lyon train

My bike jammed into an unsuitable spot at the back of the...

An early start today then off to the train station.

Train to Avignon and then next train to Lyon.

Whilst waiting for our respective trains we ate the last of the picnic food and then had a farewell ice-cream!

I caught my train to Geneva and David returned his hire bike then caught the Eurostar to London.

My goal was to get to Geneva in time to see Sarah ice-skating in a national competition. I fortunately timing didn't quite work out. She skated earlier than expected. 𯘫 But I was able to see my dear friend Celine Caught on the train to near her house where she took my bags in her car and I rode the last little bit. Had a catch up chat at her place then Beni collected me and my bike on the way home from the skating.

Sandra joined us for dinner at Terry and Beni's where Beni cooked a special meal Delicious fresh tuna!

We watched a video of Sarah's skating and a mini overview of the Pyrenees walk that Sandra had made. Lovely memories already. How quickly you forget the pain of the climbs and descents! 𯘀
