Bryce Canyon National Park

WOW. I am running out of superlatives to describe the red rock formations in this region. Bryce is one of the more famous parks, also famous for the huge crowds. I guess we were lucky. We got a great camp site without a reservation and the crowds on all the hikes were minimal. That might be because we arrived in time for a cold spell, low temp17 degrees. Even though it was very chilly, we did get to see the amphitheater from many different vantage points where we were able to see the densest collection of hoodoos in the world. We also hiked a portion of the rim trail and enjoyed the brilliance of the Milky Way on a dark sky night. We barely scratched the surface and are looking forward to out next visit.
