David and Hazel's trip to China travel blog

About to disembark from the boat. It's been a lovely relaxing experience, lots of good food and experiences. Learned to play Chinese mahjong which is less complicated than American, fewer tiles and no card.

We are in Wuhan 10 million pop. A small city by Chinese standards lit looks prosperous with many, many high rises including what will be the 2nd tallest building in the world when completed. Last night many of the high rises on both sides of the river were illuminated with a spectacular light show. Hard to capture on camera, especially because of the ever present mist /fog /pollution but quite the visual experience. Yesterday at lunch we ate Chinese street food ... but prepared on our boat. Chicken feet, pigs ears, lotus root, jellied eel , thousand year old eggs. I liked the lotus root but stuck to the soft core Chinese food for the most part.
