Saturday, September 23, 2017 we had a Celebration of Life service for Larry here in Henderson, Nevada. It was attended by many family & friends, making it a very special day. We had an open mic and anyone who wished to speak was invited to share or comment with a memory. A poem 'As I See It' written by our friend Phill Randall from Custer, South Dakota was read by nephew Ken Fiscus, a text sent by our good friends Tim & Crystal was shared by Larry's sister Bonnie and an 18 minute DVD was played during the service chronicling Larry's life.

Our daughter Tawnia worked tirelessly on the program, front table decor, table decorations in the Chapel and many other special items. She is an amazing woman & I can't even begin to thank her & tell her how much I love her. I had a bit of a glitch on the video presentations. There were actually two, one consisting of music & 300+ photos. The other had 1,100+ photos & a CD of music that Larry picked out a few weeks earlier. I downloaded over 3,000 photos which took over 17 hours and my program had a problem and I lost them all the night before the DVD's had to be turned in!! So I spent from 7pm until 8:30am the following morning recovering 1,100 of them for the second DVD. Oh my, I was exhausted!!! But, it all worked out, they played correctly which was 'iffy' and tears (happy) were shed by family & friends alike. Now that a couple of days have passed it's time to take a deep breath & look around.

It seems impossible it's been less than a month since Larry went home. I miss him terribly. We would have celebrated our 32nd anniversary December 1st. Thank goodness I have a wonderful support system here. The kids have been wonderful & I definitely wouldn't make it without Bonnie & Larry! They are my rock and I love them both dearly.

I am in the process of looking to purchase a new to me truck. I want another Ford diesel as this beast of a home is long & heavy. Looking to go to a 6.7 litre engine this time around but still need a long bed so I can strap my Sea Eagle boat on it as before. Larry wanted me to keep traveling as long as I remain in good health & am still loving it. So, I hope to pull out in another 3-4 weeks for a bit. I'll return over the holidays of course but after three months I do have 'hitch itch'. If all goes well I'll head to Arizona for a bit and then? Who knows, we'll see. Thank you to everyone who has been in contact with cards, calls, texts & FB posts. I love you all & appreciate your kindness very much!!!
