Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

My Radiation therapy session this morning went off quite normally. That was number 13 so I am now 1/3 of the way through the regimen, having only 26 sessions remaining.

Marilyn & I were talking over our coffee as we usually do, and agreed that both of us have a condition familiar to those who live the RV life. It’s called “Hitch Itch”.

We have been here in Hannibal since early in May. The really nice weather through most of the summer made our stay quite pleasant, the people here at Mark Twain Cave are very good folks, treating us like family, and the fact that several of our friends have visited us here, helped to make the time pass easily.

We plan to make it to Colorado next summer for sure. Last night we met several of the folks associated with the “Cave of the Winds” in Colorado and they invited us to visit their Cave which is near Colorado Springs. We certainly intend to do that while we are at Mountaindale next summer.

Of course we plan to spend the winter at our place in Mission, Texas where we’ll enjoy trips to Mexico and to South Padre Island.

We have enjoyed spending time with our family and friends while residing in Hannibal but it sure will feel nice to see that “Welcome to Texas” sign at the border. Another sign which brings a smile to our faces is the “Welcome Home Winter Texan’s” sign we see in various places as we approach the Rio Grande Valley.

Oh Yeah, Life is Good!
