Glow Show

Today was Balloon Day! We were up at 3:45 a.m and had our first Uber ride to San Rafael Park for the Glow Show at 5:15 a.m. There are a lot of people every age, walking down a long path through the trees, in the pitch black carrying blankets & wearing jackets. It is brisk this morning.

We find a spot on the grass for our chairs & watch the show. Pretty awesome as 90 Hot Air Balloons fire up their burners in time with pre arranged music, lighting up the night.

At 7 a.m. is the Mass Ascension of all the balloons, each in their prearranged order into the morning's dawn with a moon in the background. It was so very awesome to see. As you are allowed right on the field, you watch the crews holding the ropes, the noise & fire of the burners as they fill these giant sheets of fabric that have no ability to steer. The skies turn into a dance of brightly coloured many shaped balloons. It was all & more than I had hoped for.
