Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Marilyn handed me a cup of fresh brewed coffee as soon as I was comfortably seated in my recliner this morning.I dreaded the fact that I would soon have to begin drinking a quart of water and really enjoyed the coffee.

Marilyn drove the car as we headed to the James E. Cary Cancer Center, while I steadily sipped the water. I guess that I’m getting used to doing this because it wasn’t quite as bad this morning. Once we arrived at the Cancer Center my procedure took only 25 minutes and we headed home.

When we drove in we spied several of our friends who work or have worked here at the Cave Complex and visited with them for several minutes. I then went into the Camp Store to check on our mail and was delighted to see that my latest book had arrived. It looked perfect and Marilyn began reading the first few pages as soon as I handed it to her. She says that she likes it best of all my books except for the first one, about my flying career. I now have six books published and available on Amazon.com.

Marilyn fixed a nice lunch and then we relaxed before driving off to meet friends at the “Rustic Oak” restaurant. We looked forward to seeing Jesse & Ginger again, as well as Bob & Janet and Steve & Cathy. We’ve shared many RV adventures with these good friends.

We have plans to get together again before our friends leave for other parts of the country.
