Day's Overview

The Pyrenean Pair has just become the Pyrenean Pair Squared!

A long walk today but it wasn't difficult. Accidentally took a couple of wrong turns early on so had to backtrack. Added a couple of kms. Traversed through pretty farm country and then had an extremely steep but short climb to a track that ran alongside a water pipe and then a little canal. Easy walking through woods. Had to cross / pass through several electric fences and Helen was zapped 3 times. Me once. Quite a jolt. We walked quickly to make the long distance. Lunched at Lac de Bethmale where people were picnicking and fishing and having a group party at the cabin. It was a very steep climb out as looked like an old volcano crater. Finally made it to the Col and then down through more farm fields and blackberry hedge rows on decent tracks to the gîte. The gîte was lovely. Lots of farm animals, tiny chicks with mother hens, roosters, dogs , puppies , donkeys

Terry and Sandra arrived later and there was a great reunion
