Coogee beach

The graveyard!

View from the boat

View from the pub

Today started as a bit of a disaster when the oyster card equivalent decided not to work. This meant we spent over an hour going between shop and station to get it resolved and not meeting our friends who we had arranged to meet.

After we had sorted it we made our way to Coogee beach to walk the famous 6k to Bondi beach. This was a very beautiful coastal walk that took us past numerous bays with crystal clear water. It also took us through a very large graveyard and then past million dollar houses.

Bondi beach was lovely with lots of people surfing.

We then stopped by a local Kmart to purchase some winter clothes as we realised that we were completely unprepared for New Zealand as when we checked the weather it actually gets into the minuses and we don't even have a coat let a lone any thermals.

Thermal vests in hand we then continued our way back to the city and headed out on a boat from the harbour to a place called Manly. The main attraction is the boat ride itself and we were rewarded with great views of both the Opera House and the bridge on the way back to the Sydney harbour.

We finished the day with a couple of beers with some English friends at a local pub which looked over the Opera House itself.
