This will be a short journal entry because we have enjoyed a very quiet, peaceful day. Marilyn & I enjoyed sharing our coffee together and then completed the normal morning chores and headed off to have breakfast at the “Country Kitchen”.
They had crepes filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, chopped tomatoes, and then the entire thing was covered with a cheese sauce. They were delicious!
After that tasty meal, we drove away feeling well fed for sure. We first stopped at the “Good Will” store to drop off a large bag of used clothing. Remember I mentioned that Marilyn was cleaning her closet?
Right next door was the “Lowes” store where we were unable to find the item we looked for. One of the helpful clerks informed us that they didn’t stock that item although he was familiar with it.
Walmart was next on the list and we drove off with the back seat full of groceries.
Once we returned home and had the groceries put away, Marilyn went to the screened room to read, while I remained inside working on my own book. I managed to complete chapter nine and started on chapter ten.
A good friend, Jeff, stopped by to visit for a while and it was good to see him again.
Oh it sure was an easy, relaxing, peaceful day and we are certain that Life is Good!
