We arrived in the port town of Picton and found a place to stay. Picton is at the head of Queen Charlotte Sound and is a small town that is a hive of activity when the ferry docks but slow and sleepy at all other times.
After doing the long awaited laundry we went on the wine tour to the area of Blenheim. We took in three wineries and a brandy distillery. We were driven about and it was a good job too as we were both swaying by the end, the 'tasters' being quite generous !
