Another fine morning greeted us today. We sipped our coffee as we talked about the turns our life has taken but agree that the RV life is one of the best times we’ve had together.
Marilyn took a picture of me laughing and posted it on her FB page. The main issue I had with doing that is the picture makes it appear that I am sleeping. It did allow me to discover a truth that my friends will continue to show how much they love me by constantly harassing me without mercy. I must admit that they are quite clever, but I sure wish we were spending the summer among these fine friends.
You see, they are much of the reason we have loved this lifestyle so much. Of course if I really was with them in Colorado, I would make them see nothing but the smoke from my campfire, never go to a restaurant which was open when they arrived, and always return to places with great margaritas and salsa verde.
Ok, our life here isn’t like being in Colorado but we did go to a ball game to watch our granddaughter play. She batted in the leadoff position and banged out a base hit, but was stranded at third base.
The game was rained out in the second inning so now we are home. No worry because both grandkids will spend time with us tomorrow and then we’ll be driving to more ball games on Thursday and Friday.
Our friends, Mike & Sandy will arrive here tomorrow also and we are looking forward to showing them around Hannibal and Mark Twain Lake. In fact, if the weather permits, a ride around the lake in Steve & Cathy’s pontoon boat is now on the schedule.
I see FUN in the forecast.
Life is Good!
