Lost in a grape farm somewhere in Santorini...but was worth the shot
friends at the hotel in Santorini, alot of fun indeed

| Well Anna turned 40 on the 22nd and it was a nice gesture for my cousins in Avezzano to take us out to dinner. We went up to the mountains not to far away and even though it was her birthday, she still got car sick.....lol but not for long as once we arrived, it all went. Talk about a small world, the owners use to live in Glenroy and then the world got even smaller as the father use to work with my dad at Grollo back in those days and then he bought a pump so Donny, if you read this, his name was "Primo", l tell you, amazing. We ate like kings and queens and fish was all round for everyone, once again it was nice to be with family and not just me saying happy birthday.... The rest of the day was recouping from all the food we ate....lol.... We left for Perugia the next day and it was sad to say good bye to my Uncle and auntie and Marina but as for Nicola, well like any good deflorio, he is always looking for some action and party town so off we went together in his car and headed for Perugia. Perugia is such a beautiful city, absoloutley amazing city with so much heritage and so much chocolate....lol...very sad to hear that Nestles has taken over Baci chocolates and even bought a sub standard hazelnut to go in it... We went out that night with Nicola and his friend MAx who lives and works here, very cool guy as is all his friends including his girlfriend Martha . He was telling Anna about the history etc while we were talking shit behind them....things havent changed....lol The 24th was a sad day as we decided to stay 2 nights due to the fact that Saturday night being this night is called White night and all the shops are open all night....aswell as bands playing all night until 6 in the morining..well we will hate that wont we.....but our cousin had to return due to work commitments and as we have been hanging out so much, there family is truly like our very own family and made us feel so welcome but thats where it gets hard to say goodbye as l felt that we conected so so much with all of them and especially Nicola as he has trates just like me and Anna always makes note that certain things he does, is just like me....not sure if it is a good thing...lol...but good for me so we took some photos in the square and said our good byes....sad indeed...we do miss them all already but it is only an insentive to return and for me to get more work and get back here quicker...oh god, l am turining into an Italian......lol Ok well we better go and listen to some music and take in the atmosphere....ciao ciao for now from Perugia.....Michael and Anna |
