We all decided to get up early and go into the park. I thought I had made arrangements for Harley to get walked, but i fell through. So Elisabeth, Peter, Jack, Tucker and Susan went in by car and I followed later on the shuttle bus, We had a tour booked at 1:30 pm so there was time to see some of the sights. The boys went to an art program and Susan wandered around the valley floor taking pictures of half dome and water falls.

After wandering around the Village, we grabbed lunch and then caught our tour bus to Glacier Point. This was a drive out of the Valley up to Glacier Point which had spectacular views of the Valley. Along the way we got a history lecture about the valley.I would recommend this tour for anyone going to Yosemite. You can drive there, but then you have to keep your eye on the road and you miss all the spectacular views.

Once we got to the top, Peter decided he wanted to hike the 4 and 1/2 miles trail back down. No one opted to join him. But he later said it was a fantastic hike. Here are some pictures from the trip up.

It is truly a wonderful place. Everyone loved the valley and the trip to Glacier Point. We were really lucky in that the heavy winter snow had fed the waterfalls and they were really spectacular. Also, all the rivers were filled to overflowing. The only bad thing was that the road to Tuolumne Meadow was closed. We were rally hoping to see it. We headed back to the campground and found that Harley had been a good boy and was really happy to see us
