We left Olympic National Park today and are traveling south by way of US 101 along the western edge of the Olympic Peninsula. While the campground was completely off the communications grid, the western part of the peninsula is only partially off the grid. We are in and out of cell phone coverage as we travel along 101. We’ve stopped at a couple of scenic views and the coastline in this area is beautiful. It’s been raining and drizzling most of the way so we decided to stop early in Hoquiam, WA next to the Hoquiam River for the night. We drove into town for dinner at the 8th Street Ale House. I had fish and trips with a locally brewed Hefeweizen and Sue had beer marinated pot roast. Both were good.
