Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

I went off to work at the Cave this morning and ended up with only one tour. It was for grade school students from Columbia, Missouri. The staff has hired several new guides and I had the pleasure of being accompanied on my tour by two young ladies who will turn out to be very good guides before much time passes.

Back at the RV after the tour was complete, I joined Marilyn for a quick bit of lunch and then sat down to do some research on the computer.

Our friend, Jeff, stopped by to visit for a while and we enjoyed seeing this good man once again. Jeff has helped us numerous times over the years, when we were here at the Cave.

We had planned to drive over to Palmyra to watch Lauren’s baseball practice but Jennifer called to let us know that Lauren was running a fever and it was raining so practice would probably be called off, so Marilyn & I stayed home.

Earlier today I spoke with our friend, Bob, and he informed me that they have to be in the RGV to begin their work-camping job on Nov 1st. Our friends, Steve & Cathy, are in the same situation. What this all means is that we will change our plan to go through New Orleans on the way to the Valley in October. We may all travel together but it will be a more direct route in order to save time.

We’ll be talking about those plans over the summer.

Of course that is in the fall of this year and we still have a summer in Colorado and a return visit to Hannibal before that time rolls around.

We are blessed to have so much to look forward to. Life is Good!
