Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Last night, after I had posted my journal entry, we had a phone call from a couple we care very much about. They were letting us know that one of them has Cancer in numerous places. This was a complete shock to us and we went to our FB pages to request prayer. We were asked not to mention by name, the person we are praying for. I have to write a very profound “Thank You” to all of you have been saying prayers.

This morning, Marilyn & I sat together talking quietly about the person in our life who has cancer.

We finally ate a bite of breakfast and then I dressed and went off to work. I had one tour scheduled and it was to lead a group of students through the Cameron Cave. Two other guides were with us as they were being trained to lead tours of Cameron Cave.

Several young boys in this group of students were pretty rowdy and I was happy when the tour was over.

My day of work was complete so I returned home for some lunch and a short nap.

Have you ever noticed how nice it is to have a short “power nap” in the afternoon? It really feels great!

Jennifer and Lauren came in to visit once school was out for the day, while Steve took Colby to baseball practice. I had promised to take the girls out for dinner and that gave us a chance to visit. It was nice to have time with my daughter for sure. Lauren rode home from the restaurant with me while Marilyn rode with Jen. Lauren entertained me all the way with her constant chatter. I loved it!

Now we are settled down for some TV watching. I think I’ll go put my PJ’s on.

Life is Good!
